FILTERED GOOGLE · NEW · TRY IT

Filtered Google.
Try it yourself.

Google’s own search, Gmail, Maps and the everyday Google tools, in one app with its own icon. Its AI, ads and short videos taken out; Torah first from LeHallel, today’s zmanim and kosher first put in. This is the Google part of a parent’s own page in My HigherLife, beside the phone it sets up.

NewFiltered Google comes to every HigherLife phone with its next browser update. It runs today on our own test phones.

💡 Psst - this is a mock-up, so nothing really plays or sends. The real thing on your phone is even better.

And what HigherLife adds

Around Google’s own results, things a Jewish home gets nowhere else:
Torah firstA Torah search shows LeHallel’s own sefarim and shiurim above Google’s results.
Today on the front pageZmanim for your city, the Jewish date, the parsha and the daf.
Kosher firstA food search near you looks for kosher places first.
Ask a parentA result taken away can be asked about. The parent answers on My HigherLife.
Clean suggestionsWhile typing, only searches this phone allows are offered.
Videos follow your YouTubeGoogle’s video rows show only the channels this phone allows.
A weekly lookWhat was searched, if the parent chooses it, on My HigherLife.

See the difference

Plain Google puts these around its results, and has none of what we add. The HigherLife Google app takes them away.

Where do I start

One press sets every switch below. You can change any of them after.

The Google tools inside the app

A tool switched off is not in the app at all. Search is always in.
Never in the app: Gemini (Google’s AI chat), Google News, Google Play, Google Shopping, Google TV, Blogger.

Questions people ask

What is Filtered Google?

Google’s own search, Gmail, Maps, Calendar, Drive, Translate, Contacts and Keep in one app on the iPhone’s home screen. Google’s own results in Google’s own order, with the AI answer, the ads, the short videos and the “get the app” boxes taken away.

What does HigherLife add to Google?

Things a Jewish home gets nowhere else: a Torah search shows LeHallel’s own sefarim and shiurim first, the front page shows today’s zmanim, the Jewish date, the parsha and the daf, a food search near you looks for kosher places first, and a result taken away can be asked about, with the parent answering on My HigherLife.

Is it still Google?

Yes. It is Google’s own engine and Google’s own pages, signed in once with your own Google account. We take away only what sits around the results.

Are pictures shaded?

Yes. Every picture in Search, Images, Maps photos and Gmail is shaded by HigherLife, and every person in Street View is covered.

Can I turn off Gmail or Images?

Yes. Each tool has its own switch on My HigherLife, and Images can be shaded or off. News, Shopping and Street View have their own switches.

What can never open?

Gemini (Google’s AI chat), Google News, Google Play, Google Shopping, Google TV and Blogger are not in the app on any plan. SafeSearch is always on and cannot be turned off.
